The Miramar Air Show field trip was held on the last Friday of September, where many of the cadets from our unit got on the bus to go to Miramar Air Station and see what the Air Show had to offer. Cadets were put into groups to meet other cadets from the unit, led by our very own mighty Staff Leadership team. Cadets then went on to walk around and tour all the cool static displays, military equipment, and pop up stands from different organizations ranging from the San Diego Police and Fire Department to the United States Marine Corps and Army National Guard. Cadets also had the opportunity to watch aircrafts take flight. From F-22 Raptors to Ospreys and even a performance from the Navy Blue Angels! Cadets who brought money were also able to check out the merchandise that each pop-up stand had to offer, as well as invest in some delicious Air Show food. Overall, the field trip was a big success and many of the cadets had fun, saying that they would want to go again next year!
